Prescription Refills
At Santa Fe OBGYN, we strive to make managing your prescriptions as easy and convenient as possible. If you need a prescription refill, we offer two simple options to request your medication:
- Through Your Pharmacy: You can contact your pharmacy directly to request a refill. If your medication is prescribed by us, your pharmacy will send us a request for authorization.
- Through the Patient Portal: For your convenience, you can also request prescription refills securely through our Patient Portal. It’s fast, private, and allows you to manage all aspects of your healthcare from the comfort of your home.
Request a Refill Through
the Patient Portal

- Request a Refill: Navigate to the “Prescription Refill” section and follow the prompts to request the medication you need.
- Submit Your Request: Once your request is submitted, our office will receive it and process it as soon as possible. You will be notified when your prescription is ready for pickup or if we need any additional information.
Request a Prescription Refill
Through Your Pharmacy
- Contact your pharmacy and request a refill of your medication.
- Your pharmacy will send a request to us for authorization if needed.
- Once we receive the request, we will process it promptly and either approve or contact you for additional information if necessary.
Important Information About Prescription Refills
- Timing: Please allow at least 48 hours for us to process your refill request, as we need time to review your medical records and, if necessary, approve the refill with your pharmacy.
- Medications Needing Approval: Certain medications, such as controlled substances or those requiring routine checkups, may need additional approval or an in-person appointment for a refill.
- Renewal Requests for Birth Control and Other Medications: If your prescription is for birth control, hormone therapy, or other long-term medications, it is important to schedule regular check-ups to ensure your prescription stays up to date. We may need to perform certain evaluations before we approve a refill.
