Our midwife Deena Moes, CNM is a Registered Nurse with a Masters of Science from Yale School of Nursing, as well as advanced certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board. She has more than 25 years of experience in women’s health.

When available, our Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) offer deeply personalized, relationship-based care for pregnancy, birth, and beyond. We know how meaningful midwifery support can be—and we also want to be transparent: midwifery care at our practice is available on an intermittent basis. When our midwife is accepting patients, we’re honored to offer that path. When not, our OBGYNs and nurse practitioners are committed to providing the same warm, individualized, and empowering care.

CNMs are advanced practice providers trained in both nursing and midwifery. They’re licensed and board-certified to provide a full range of reproductive health services, including:

Our CNM works in close partnership with the rest of our team. When midwifery care is active, patients may choose a midwife as their primary provider for:

Prenatal visits
Birth planning
Postpartum care
Annual exams and contraception counseling

Should your pregnancy become high-risk or require additional monitoring, we ensure a smooth, collaborative transition to one of our OBGYN physicians—no need to leave the practice or start over.
